The cost of butt implants in Mexico generally ranges from $3,900 to $5,500. Prices can vary depending on the clinic, the surgeon’s experience, implant brand (solid silicone), and whether additional procedures like liposuction or fat transfer are included. The hospital advertised was not the one I went to. The operating room was thrown together i my opinion. Hardly anyone spoke English so I had a difficult time with the forms. I didn't even get a copy. After the surgery I was left on my back overnight night and was told I'll be ok. Once finally discharged the next morning, I only received antibiotics and ibuprofen. No instructions on how and what to do afterwards. I felt like they did what they was supposed to and dropped me off in the streets to fend for myself
How close it was from my home
The facility, language barrier and no instructions
The surgeon was good but the coordinator Carlo made too many mistakes. 1. Didn’t book continuous days at hotel. 2. As a result, I was kicked out of room the day I was in surgery. . 2. Need more after care days to remove drainage. I was abruptly kicked out of TJ while I was still feeling weak. Needed more days in Tijuana. At least 2 more. Return to America and no one wanted to remove drainage tubes. 3. The day nurse talked bad about me to everyone. The night nurse , Paulina was perfect.
I would never recommend surgery in Mexico. No need to go viral with this because all of USA know this. Mexican are much better at picking fruits!
Their staff was very accommodating and thoughtful - everyone was super nice and considerate, especially Sara and Maria
First off, I used Aura Wellness Center, instead of Alice Beauty Clinic. And, their staff was very accommodating and thoughtful - everyone was super nice and considerate, especially Sara and Maria. Sara was the best English speaker there and helped me with everything. Maria was kind, warm, and also a great English speaker. They made it less lonely since I had this journey alone.
Through Bookimed, I was assisted by Confidence, she was super thoughtful and checked up on me. She made sure I had connections with my medical coordinator and doctor.
My coordinator was named Carlos. He was kind, answering all my questions and even texted me after my surgery numerous time to ensure I was recovering and satisfied with my results.
My doctor was Dr. Ayala. I can't say much about him since he was in and out of the surgery room. I met him briefly. And, I'm unsure of my results as I am only one month post-op.
The staff at the clinic was accommodating. The coordinator from Bookimed and from the doctor ensured my questions were answered.
Dr. Ayala's brevity and lack of check up after the surgery. I didn't meet him more than 15 (when I was conscious since I was under anesthesia when he operated on me).
Dr Marroquin was/is available nearly immediately with WhatsApp and addressed all my concerns and questions with a speed and efficiency one can't get in the US
Top notch facilities, very attentive staff and Dr Marroquin was / is available nearly immediately with WhatsApp and addressed all my concerns and questions with a speed and efficiency one can't get in the US. My recovery at FCH Hotel was very good as well. Is in a great area of Guadalajara, totally safe and lots of dining options.
Competence of Dr and staff.
Nothing signifigant to criticise, went fairly smooth.

The staff and doctors were extremely knowledgeable and and very supportive to all of my care needs. Everyone was very personable and caring and consistent at every turn. I felt safe and confident. Even more so than when n the states.
I liked how Dr Navarro came in and administered my tests himself. That never happens in the states.

I felt like both were done taking exactly what I wanted into account and the overall symmetry at the end for my nostrils was excellent - my nose had been broken and before surgery lack of symmetry was a big issue
I had a really great experience with my doctor and care here. I wanted a very natural looking nose, not to look "doll-like" or like I had a rhinoplasty. Same for lip filler. I felt like both were done taking exactly what I wanted into account and the overall symmetry at the end for my nostrils was excellent - my nose had been broken and before surgery lack of symmetry was a big issue. I believe it required different degrees of cutting for each nostril so I'm very impressed that the end result's symmetry appears less than 1mm different from one another, that's a huge improvement from before. The shape is really nice and I was impressed that after surgery the packing was done in such a way that I was able to breathe through my nose the whole time, even during my recovery.
Hospital fine, clean decent staff
Got gynecomastia surgery, emintha into healing moderately okay results, had maybe grade one maybe grade 2 gyno, got glands removed as I was very lean,
Surgeon made long incisions, along my chest, have two ling 3 Inch scars on either side of my nipples on both side of my chest
Fland wasn't fully removed on my left side so have recurring gyno,
Need steriod injection to help with scaring, surgeon isn't competent enough to go through the nipples to leave no scarring,
Pictures they send of before and after are a lie,
Probably look worse than before cant take my top off after,
The response to this was get laser treatment or steriod injections
Sub par save your money go somewhere else
Probably the same for most procedures they do
Terrible surgeon. Will not take the time to speak with you, when he does he knows limited English and is very very rushed. The first time me he gave me results that were so drastic I looked like a pig or someone from who-ville. I had to pay for a second surgery for him to give me my old nose but even worse! (Again super rushed, had zero time to make a decision). Absolutely awful experience. Scary. He refused to even try to fix my nose now for another 6 months. Even though I offered to pay again. Have to date and see friends humiliated with a half finished face. Go to someone with talent and who actually cares. He doesn’t. You are just a number to the surgeons there.

I saved for so long for this surgery and got nothing. I’m just so sad.
Dr. Marraquin was amazing. He spent over an hour with me on my consultation before my surgery. Let me know absolutely everything that was going to happen. His years of training is quite obvious to anybody who is requesting his services. He answered every question I could possibly think of. Additionally, he was available through text messaging 24 hours a day. He’s response time was impressive. I was very pleased with the outcome of my facelift. I would refer him to any buddy I know.
My experience has been very bad with Dr. Ayala… He only spoke with me for about 10 minutes before my surgery and afterwards was very reluctant to answer any questions when I said I was not happy with the outcome of my neck and ears. He said I could come back in a couple of months to have it fixed. When I came back. I decided to do liposuction on my abdominal area at the same time again the same thing no follow up as far as what I should be doing or wearing or anything… Again, one of my ears was not corrected and looked actually worse than before. When I came back to get my stitches out I pointed that out and he said that was normal and I argued saying that my other ear came out fine and this year looked bad. He said he couldn’t do anything else except wait for another couple of months and have me come back again. At this point, I showed him my liposuction, which looked bad as well with a lot of fibrosis happening… He gave no recommendation except to have ultrasound treatment done. I went online and discovered I should be wearing compression garments as well as getting massage for lymphatic fluid, which was building up. Once I went to the masseuse, she informed me of all the things I needed to be doing, but this is also cost me an extra thousand dollars. The whole experience was very disappointing and now I need to go to another surgeon to get one of my ears fixed hopefully for the last time But this all started Jan 3 and we are now into May and I’m still not out of the woods! I actually liked the personalities of everybody that I worked with, but I cannot in good conscience. Recommend them to anyone else because I know they will be very disappointed!

Buttock Implants in Mexico: Complete Guide to Costs, Clinics & Safety
Plastic surgery is the way to get the figure of your dreams, and buttock implants are one of the methods to make your hips and buttocks look irresistible. An ordinary and safe buttock augmentation surgery will help any person feel more attractive, confident, and be in the spotlight. This operation allows you to get the buttocks shape of your dream without grueling workouts in the gym or super strong classes. Just imagine how you'll feel walking along the beach and catching admiring glances.
Many people can't decide to do a butt augmentation procedure because of the high cost. In fact, pricing is very dependent on the country. If in the USA, the operation costs $10,000–$15,000, then in Mexico — $4,000–$5,000. You will save up to $11,000 just by choosing a buttock augmentation clinic not in your homeland, but in another country.
Mexico has emerged as a leading destination with 146 clinics offering buttock implant procedures (Bookimed database, October 2025) and has served 15,038 international patients through medical tourism platforms alone (Bookimed data, October 2025).

What is Brazilian Butt Implant Surgery?
Brazilian buttock implant surgery is a buttock augmentation procedure using implants. Buttock implants are dense shells with smooth or slightly ribbed surfaces. Each implant contains 140–180 milliliters of liquid silicone inside. A surgeon inserts them into the buttocks under anesthesia. To make a recovery smooth and fast, a patient has to wear a special compression garment for 3–5 weeks.
The surgical procedure to install implants gives better results compared to pumping fat into the buttocks (Brazilian butt lift, or BBL) from other parts of the body. The silicone in the implant is isolated by a dense shell, therefore, it isn't absorbed by the body. It ensures that the received buttock shape won't change for many years.
Buttock (gluteal) implant surgery solves the following problems:
asymmetrical or small buttocks;
flat, saggy butts;
complexes about appearance;
self-doubt and low self-esteem;
deformity of the hips or butts resulting from a severe injury.
While buttock implant surgery can achieve desired aesthetic results, patients should understand the realistic outcomes. According to a systematic review published in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery analyzing 2,375 patients, the overall satisfaction rate is 78.4%, with the overall complication rate being 21.6%. The most common post-surgical effects include temporary swelling (experienced by 40–50% of patients), wound healing considerations (9.6% of cases), and seroma formation (4.6%). Serious complications requiring implant removal occur in 3.8% of patients.
What Are Bum Implants Called?
Buttock implants can be called differently. There are the most common names of them, not to make you confused:
buttock implants;
bum implants;
bottom implants;
butt augmentation (so they can talk about both implants and Brazilian butt lift).
How Common Are Buttock Implants?
A report from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) states that buttock augmentation is one of the most popular plastic surgery operations in the United States for 2020. During 2020, ASPS member surgeons alone performed 1,179 successful buttock implant surgeries. This is 22% more than in 2019.
Globally, the numbers are much more impressive. According to ISAPS (The International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery) statistics 2020 alone, about 396,105 buttock augmentations were performed worldwide.
Buttock augmentation with implants is getting more and more popular every year. Most of those who want to get this procedure are from the USA, Canada, Great Britain, and some European countries (France, Spain, Italy, and Poland). Recently, residents of Arab countries (for example, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia) have also become interested in buttock augmentation.
How Long Do Bottom Implants Last?
Most butt implants last approximately 10–15 years before requiring replacement, with revision surgery needed in 17.8% of cases according to clinical studies. The average endurance for a gluteal silicone gel-filled implant depends on 4 characteristics:
the shape of the implant;
quality;
cohesiveness;
lifestyle of the patient.
You'll enjoy your new body for years! However, this imposes a great responsibility on the choice of implants. If you don't like the result after the operation, you'll have to live with it or do one more surgery to receive a satisfying outcome.
What Butt Implant Shapes Are Available in Mexico?
Mexican plastic surgery clinics manage an operation to enlarge your buttocks using these 2 implant shape types:
Oval (anatomical). Used to obtain pear-shaped glutes. Suitable for patients with congenital defects or acquired injuries of the buttocks.
Round. They are chosen by people with flat buttocks to get more volume and correct the butt shape.
The next important step towards the perfection of your body is to select the proper size of implants. If you choose too large ones, they will bulge, distorting the shape of the gluteal area. Too small implants won't give the desired aesthetic result.
You also have to decide what outcome you want to achieve. If you only want to emphasize the natural shape of the buttocks, it is recommended to install implants of a smaller volume. If you want bulging butts, like Nicki Minaj or Kim Kardashian, consult with a doctor whether this option is possible in your case.
Understanding the recovery process is crucial for planning your buttock implant surgery. Cleveland Clinic guidelines provide a comprehensive timeline:
Days 1–3: Moderate to severe pain and tenderness managed with prescription medication. Complete sitting restriction except for eating and using toilet. Sleep on stomach or side only.
Week 1: Pain and swelling significantly reduced. Light walking encouraged. Compression garments worn if liposuction performed simultaneously. Sitting still minimized.
Weeks 2–3: Most patients can return to work with pillow use when sitting. Swelling continues to decrease. Light activities resumed but heavy lifting avoided.
Weeks 3–4: Most bruising resolved. Implants may still feel firm. Light to moderate exercise typically cleared by surgeon.
Weeks 5–6: Most swelling resolved, revealing closer to final results. Strenuous exercise usually permitted. Normal sitting gradually reintroduced.
Months 3–6: Final results become apparent as all swelling subsides and implants settle into natural position.
Important: Sitting restrictions are critical - avoid direct sitting for 2–3 weeks, then use a pillow for at least 8 weeks to prevent implant displacement and ensure optimal healing.
What Determines the Price of Buttock Augmentation in Mexico?
The cost of buttock implant operation in Mexico is not stable and can change because of many factors. The most common are:
Implant filling. Implants with conventional silicone are cheaper because the silicone is liquid, and if the shell breaks, it can leak out. Implants with high-cohesive silicone gel are more expensive due to the more advanced and difficult-to-manufacture filler. Due to the composition, the gel doesn't behave like a liquid, but as a solid. When the shell of the implant breaks, it doesn't spread.
The experience of a surgeon and their fee. The more experienced a plastic surgeon is, the higher buttock augmentation cost will be. Highly-skilled and board-certified plastic surgeons typically ask more for their work. Mexico is particularly attractive for its high concentration of certified surgeons who have studied in the US, Europe, and Canada. Leading Mexican plastic surgeons including Dr. Marco Tulio Marroquin Batres (certified by the Mexican Board of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery) and Dr. Jose Cortes (member of ASPS, AMCPER, IFATS, ACPA) are members of international plastic surgery organizations. They use the latest methods and techniques in their operations. Therefore, in Mexico, you can get the same high quality of services as in the USA, only cheaper.
The reputation of the clinic. Clinics with awards and certificates offer their services 10–20% more expensive than those without ones.
"Package price". Some medical centers in Mexico provide a range of services at once, or the so-called "package price" including surgery, transfer, apartment booking, and interpreting services. When buying a package, you will save 20–30% additionally on the contrast you pay for each service separately.
Discount system. Some clinics offer additional discounts for regular customers up to 20% off. New plastic surgery clinics on the market want to attract more patients and deliberately make prices lower than their competitors. This is a great chance to save money on buttock augmentation procedures.
What Does the Buttock Augmentation Surgery Price in Mexico Include?
Most of the clinics for buttock augmentation in Mexico provide a price for a whole range of services:
medications during surgery;
general anesthesia;
compression underwear;
nursing staff;
interpreting services (if needed);
surgeon's fees.
Top-rated facilities such as Riviera Institute For Plastic Surgery (5.0/5, Cancún) and Innovare Hospital (5.0/5, Zapopan) provide comprehensive packages including hotel accommodation and transfer services. Before booking, check which services are included in the price.
How Is the Butt Implant Procedure Done in Mexico?
Although the cost of buttock implants in Mexico is much lower than in the USA, it is performed according to the same internationally accepted guidelines and techniques as in the United States.
Before the operation, a patient needs to perform such measures:
pass preoperative tests and undergo examinations prescribed by the surgeon;
3 weeks before the upcoming operation, stop smoking and taking blood-thinning drugs.
Mexican plastic surgeons manage the procedure in 4 steps, just like medicals in the USA:
An incision (one or two) in the area of the implant placement.
Implant placement.
Suturing the surgical incision.
Surgical Technique Details: Buttock implant surgery involves several technical decisions that affect outcomes. According to surveys of plastic surgeons, 68.4% prefer intramuscular placement over subfascial placement for better implant stability. Incision approaches are nearly equally divided, with 53% using a single incision in the gluteal cleft and 47% using two separate incisions. Implants typically contain 140–180ml of cohesive silicone gel and are available in round or anatomical (oval) shapes.
The operation lasts from 1 to 2.5 hours. A doctor uses self-dissipating threads, so you don't have to go back to the clinic to have them removed. The recovery process takes 2–3 weeks for initial healing, with full results visible after 3–6 months.
By the way, Mexico is especially attractive for its well-developed medical tourism infrastructure. After the operation, you'll be able to recover on luxurious beaches, swim in the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico or the Pacific Ocean, live in cozy apartments, and eat delicious and healthy food. Medical tourism in Mexico has developed over the years, and today the level of service for clients is just as good as in the USA.
It is important to watch your weight. If the patient gains weight within a few weeks after surgery, the result won't be as expected.
How Much Are Butt Implants in Mexico?
The question patients frequently ask is how much is it to get buttock implants in Mexico? The minimum price starts at $4,000, and the high end can reach $5,450. On average, buttock implant surgery in Mexico costs $4,500. For comparison, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the average cost of buttock implants in the US is $7,964 (surgeon's fee only). When including all associated costs, total US prices typically range from $10,000–$15,000. Mexico's average cost of $4,500 represents a 43–67% savings, or $3,464–$10,500 in actual dollar savings.
